It was finally deoided that the draft of the Bill was acceptable to the Wairarapa Association. Messrs G. T. Stewart, W. Miller and T. V. Wilsota were appointed to draw up the motor cycle trials for January 15th, 1914. The Wairarapa Racing Club wrote, granting the use of the racecourse for the trials, on condition that the association pad 2o per cent, of the gross admission to the grounds. The offer was accepted. It was decided that the association again write to the Hallway Department, asking that the freight on benzine be reduced. At the meeting of the Wairarapa Automobile Association on Thursday evening, Mr K. C. Jackson wrote with reference to the cost of benzine, which was still on the rise. .He suggested that motorists,, having an eye to tlier own benefit, should consider the advisability of establishing a bonzoi factory in New Zealand. Benzol had proved to be a cheaper and better power than benzine. The cost of erecting a plant and purchasing the ground would be about £20,000. If the idea was entertained by the association, he would be pleased to submit fuller particulars. There would be na difficulty, he thought, in raising the amount required amongst the motorists of the Dominion. The meeting dscussed the proposition at length, and was entirely in favour of it. It was decided that copies oif the letter be forwarded to the various associations in New Zealand, and the parent body, the New Zealand Automobile Union. It was also decided to invite Mr' Jackson to wait upon the committee at its next /meeting and further expound ■ the scheme. •
