MEETING OF GENERAL COMMITTEE.

The monthly meeting of the 'Gen- ' eral Committee of the Masterton A. and P. Association was held in the A. and P. Roo-.ns on Saturday laid, there being ', present: Messrs O. C •Cooper {President), Bland R<ayner, W. H. Buick, J. E. Perry, H. J. Dagg, J. C. McKillop, C E. Vnllance, A. D McMaster, J. M. James, C. A. Cameron, R, Gray, H. Morrison, W. D.-.Watson, D. Caselberg, G. H. Perrv. G.' C. Williams, D. McGregor, A. JV Percy, E. 0.-Harper, W. Cooper, J. T. Dagg and J. Strang. A letter was read from the Associated Conference of A. and P. Associations, forwarding the tenth annual report, and asking for- an expression of opinion on ceitain subjects.—The communication was received. Tho Clydesdale Horse Society wrote stating that either a bronze or a silver medal would be contributed by the society for competition amcaig draught yearlings or two-year-olds at tho association's show. —It was decided that the me-al be allocated to a class for yearling draught colts. The report of the meeting of the Ground Committer, nt which Mr R. Gray presided, was road. The caretaker reported having overhauled and repaired the cattle yards and horse .stalls, planted flowers at the corners of tin' lawn, etc. The okl shed which was lioing converted into sleeping apartments for- waitresses, was being painted. The question of the disposal of the cloveH crop was left in tho hands of Mr Gray. It was decided that a procured. The chairman stated that it was his intention to visit the grounds in tho coming week, in company with Mr Strang and the Ram Fair Committee, to attend to the experimental feed racks in cattle yards, and proposed alterations in ra-m ring and race gates. —The report was a dot) ted.

The Finance Committee's report was read and adopted. This showed receipt* for 'the month Mnounting to £92 lis ixl, find expenditure £B3 7 s 9d. The debit balance at date was £l7o (is yd. Accounts amounting m £l6 os Id were passed for payment. The treasurer reported that at the corresponding period last year the overdraft stood at £7OO 18s lOd. The interest on over-draft to November. 1912, was £32 19s 9d, and to November of this year £3 19s 4d. The members' subscriptions paid to November last ve*»r amounted in £254 10s, and this. year. £2BO.
