WAIPOUA STOCK SALE.
Messrs W. .and CI. TurnbuU and Co. Ltd., report having held their usual weekly salo in their Waipoua sale yards (Masterton) on Wednesday, Not. 12th, 1913, when they offered only a. small yarding; ©f sheep, cattleand pigs to a medium attendance of buyers. Bidding was animated throughout, and we can report a total clearanco at the following prices: —Woolly b.f. hoggets 18s Id ; weanor pigs 18s 6d, porkers 25s 6d; yearling stoerg £2 13s 6d, store cows £3 4s (3d to £1 7s 6d, old store cows £2 ss, 2-year empty heifers £3 10s, 13-year empty heifers £4 9s, yearling heifers £2 7s, weaner -steers :355, cows in calf £3 12s 6d.
CARTERTON STOCK SALE.
jflessi'is W. and G. Turnbull and Co., Ltd., report having held a very successful heiier and ydung steer sale in their Carterton sale yards on Tuesday,, November 11th, when they offered, a good yarding of young cattle. There was a good attendance of bnyer.s from nil parts o>f the district and competition for good, wellgrown dairy heifers was very keen, and the bulk of the yarding was sold. Amotig the entries we sold on account H. I). Bavlis, Matarawa, holfitein heifers a.t £4 4s; on account of A. Knutson, Carterton, 15-raonths heifers at £4 os; on account of J. F. Fenwick, Jersey and Ayrshire cross heifers at £4.. Other prices were as follows : —Yearling heifers £2 15s to £3 ■ss, 2-year heifers £3 10a to £4 10s, 2-year steers. £4 to £4 14s, yearling stee'-s £2 10s to £2 15s, yearling bulls £2 2s to £3, 2-year bulls £3" 10s to £4.
PAHIATUA STOCK SALE
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Pahiatua, report 011 their ta held on Tuesday, 11th inst'., asffo r lows: Wo offered a small yarding of slieep and a heavy yarding cf cattle to a good attendance of buyers, and we have to report a good clearance at prices slightly better than those ruling of late. * We quote: 4 and 5year ewes with 100 p.c. lambs at foot to *2l s 9d, fat and forward ewes 1-Jfi 6d, 18 to 20 month steers £3 Bs. yearling steers £2.18s 6d. mixed yearlings £2 14s, cows on the drop £6 10s to £7 7s 6d, store cows £4 2s 6d to £4 4!?, fat cows £7.
