GOLD MINING BOOM.
WAIHI VENTURES,
It is surprising the number of people interested in mining venture*, principally because of the tremendous success which has attended tln> operations of tlio Waihi Goldmining Company. This great mine, for it is still great, has already produced very clotee on ten and a half million pounds' worth of gold, and has paid in dividends close on £4,558,000. This is a great achievement for ;i mine that is looked upon by a great* number of authorities to have a ture with tremendous possibilities, judging by tho recent developments in the low levels. _ Then its neighbour!, the Waihi Grand Junction Company, has also reached the dividend paying stage, something like £40,000 having been paid out to the lucky shareholders. The amount of gold won from themine is in the vicinity of £/40,000, and the developments lately both at tho Waihi and the Grand Junction mines, have been such that just now all eyes are directed to the El Dorado that possesses such treasure, and an. Auckland visitor states that shareholders are having tho busiest timo for years owing to the demands of investors it} Waihi stack. Another property that is claiming much attention is the Waihi Reefs Gigantic Consoladited, Ltd.. operations upon which are to he vigorously commenced very shortly. The new company is just ready'for registration, and when properly going should be second to none for importance. Its location and general situation should in time —that is, when the property i« developed—make it one of the best in tho district, particularly as tho <ih-ike of the Waihi and the Waihi Grand Junction reef systems passes right through the area, also the cross of lodes, viz., the Union and Amaranth, must junction in the area. Tlio good values from the Grand Junction are heading straight for tho Reef-Gigantic, which, it may be stated, have a considerable width of country through which to follow tho lodes, havirg. indeed, a greater area on tho line of the present lodes than the Waihi Grand Junction Companies combined. This is an important feature and there iy ample evidence to support tho contention that thi« is tho most promising proposition which has been put on the market sinco the flotation of the Waihi Company.
