CLOSER SETTLEMENT.
A subdivision sale of particular interest to this district is the "Alpass" estate, to be offered by public auction by Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd.j at the Foresters' Hall, Masterton, next Thursday, 20th inst. The quality of the land is described as being exceptionally good, and the estate has for several years wintered one and a-half sheep to the acre in addition to 300 head of cattle, tit will be noted the terms are exceptionally easy, 10 per cent deposit and 10 per cent on Ist February next, when possession is given, the balance of eighty per cent remain on mortgage for a term of five years at o£ jwr cent. A guide is now on the property showing intending purchasers the boundaries and giving any information required.
