A DOMINION AWARD

{By Telegraph—Prat Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night.

The Conciliation Commissioner ,(.Mr 1\ Hally) met representatives of the buiiders, contractors, and painters to-day, and arrived at a basis for an agreement which will have the effect of a Dominion award. The wages were fixed at Is 6d an hour for a 44 hours week, and preference to unionists was provided for. This agreement will be signed to-morrow, and tak&n to the Arbitration Court to be made'into an award covering the whole Dominion.
