WELLINGTON", Last Night. The Rev. , D.; C. Bates, of ' the Meteorological office, last evening wired as follows:—
Unsettled weather has prevailed in the northern and southernmost districts, and also on the west coast today. Elsewhere the conditions Rave been changeable. Strong westerly winds have predominated and the barometer has been unsteady.
Present indications are for moderate to strong westerly and soutli : w£st winds and squally and changeable weather, with, heavy showers, especially in the western and southern districts. The barometer is due to rise everywhere soon, and conditions ai'e likely to become colder then*
