A REST REQUIRED
Time?—' Sydney Sim' Special Cables. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) LONDON, November 7. Mr C..H. Goschen, director of the Bank ol' England, in an address at the institute of Bankers, declared that the cancellation of the reserve liability of shareholders' joint stock in the Bank was contrary to the best interests of banking. He attributed the" present demand for money to restlessness abroad. The money market's digestion was upset, and it was suffering from nerves and needed a rest cure.
