BOROUGH OF MASTERTON. IN THE MATTER OF "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," and of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908," and the Acts amending the same respectively. THE COUNCIL OF THE BOR-OUGH-OF MASTERTON HEREBY GIVES PUBLIC NOTICE thav such Council proposes to raise a Special Loan of Sixteen Thousand Five Hundred Pounds (£16,500) for the PURPOSES OF AUGMENTING & EXTENDING THE EXISTING WATER SUPPLY of the Borough of Masterton AND in pursuance thereof and in connection therewith to lay down and construct an eighteen inch i main from the Lower Intake to the existing Reservoir; to lay down and construct a twelve inch Carryng Main from the Reservoir to the junction of Pownall-street and Renallstreet within the said Borough; to lay down and construct or extend water mains in. or to such roads or streets within the said Borough as are not now served wjth water • ant! generally to carry out such worKs as may he necessary to complete the reticulation sf tile said Borough for the purposes of Water Supply; AND for the repayment thereof to make an an-nually-recurring Special Rate not exceeding 3.25 d in the £ on the Annual Value of all rateable, property in the said Borough for £he purpose of providing the required security to meet the interest .and sinking fund charges during the currency of the said loan. It is proposed to pay out ow the loan moneys the cost of raising the loan and the first year's interest of the loan during the construction of the said works, and a sum not exceeding Two Hundred and Fifty Pounds e-B2oO) for surveys and other preliminn ry expenses incurred in connection with the scheme for which the loan .is raised.
