RESOLUTIONS PASSED

WESTPORT, Last Night

Several mass meetings were held by strikers to-day and this evening, when addresses were given by members of the' Strike Committee. Workers were urged to refrain from intoxicating liquors and to do nothing to bring discredit on the organisation.

The Westport branch, of the A.S.R.S. at a meeting this afternoon passed a resolution in reference to five men, whose services were dispensed with 011 account of the slackness of work, occasioned by the strike, and asking that they be simply suspended and given preference of employment when work' is again offering. A resolution was also passed instructing the executive of the A.S.R.S. to vote a sum towards assisting the Federation of Labour.
