Class, cf Masterton, who underwent a series operation in Wellington yestordiv, will be pleased to hear that the operation was successful, and that Mrs Crass is now making satiefioru.y progress.

The friends of Miss K. Bezar, daughter of Sergeant-Major Bezar, recently of Carterton,, will regret to hear of her death in the Wellingt'!>i Hospital yesterday, after a shore illness. The deceased, who was highly respected, was thirty-three years ol 1 age.

At'the Napier Cathedral or: Tuesday the marriage took place uf MiErnest Owen Edmundson. of the National Bank, Napier, son of the iato Major J. Edmundson, and Miss Sadie Herdman, third daughter of Mr and Mrs John Herdman, of Carterton and Napfer. The ceremony was performed bv the Rev. Canon Mayne. The Eketahuna Express states that a "surprise party" congregated at the residence of Mr H. Griffith on Wednesday night, when Mrs Griffith was the recipient of an afternoon tea set, and Mr Griffith of a Gladstone bag. The presentations were made by Mr C. Albertlisen, chairman of directors of the Nireaha Dairy Company, and Mr Griffith appropriately replied.
