He wanted all to study what they could do to achieve their,greatest object, namely, to get a United South' Africa, extending as far north as possible, v .The bulk of tho speech was devoted to the Hertzog, controversy. , The speaker was frequently interrupted. A vote of confidence in the Governu ent was carried by 396 votes to 263.
