PROPOSALS FOR SETTLEMENT.
A CONFERENCE' HELD. ADJOURNED TILL TO-DAY. WELLINGTON, Last Night. At 7 o'cjock to-night* seven delegates representing the employers, and seven the Unionists, met in the Prime Minister's office and discussed matters relating to the proposals for settlement. After four hours' deliberation, the conference adjourned till to-morrow afternoon, no statement being made as to what transpired. . „
