AN ATTEMPT TO WRECK A TRAIN.
The Watersiders' Union* at a meeting yesterday, decided to ask the 4Premi|er;ahd Sir Joseph Ward to convene a conference of ship-owners, to submit proposals for the settlement ortty* strike. The Premier will probably convene a conference for to-day. The watersiders propose to resume work on the old terms, but to give certain guarantees.
