The* polite report- that there were 125,G04 arrests in 1912, which is the highest on ivford. Increases occurred in drunkenness, betting and gaming, tor which there were 99,566 convictions. Oi' twenty-three ascertained lmirderav;, nine suicided, ten were convicted, live declared insane, and the other live awarded the death sentence. The finger-print identifications for the year totalled 10,677.
