MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly .meeting of the Wellington Land Boaild was held on Thursday. The following , applications! to transfer were received, and it was resolved to approve on the usual conditions: —S. Le Comte to L. Barrell, Section 77, Mangaramarama V.S., 19a. Or. 32p.; ft. Reay to H. M. Conway, Section part A 23, -Block VIII, Mangahao 13 acres. Other ap- j plicatiops were dealt with as follows : 1 —A. G. Harris to Joilin Bielski, Section 8. Block XIII., Ruahine, 2DO acres.—Declined. A. McPhcrson to H. E. Thorby, Section 16, Block 11, Hunua, 28a. - Ir. 24p.—Approved. Messrs W., J. W., and F. P. Holdem to F. G. L. Voss, Section 27, Block 11, Mt. Cereberits, 440 acres. —Postponed •until ranger's report received. The following applications for tho freehold title were approvedA. Mudford, Section 36, Block VI., Hunua, 2a. Or. 17p.'; W. Cruickshank, . Sections 2a "and 3b, Block- VI, Mt. Cereberus, 225 acres. ■

Mrs S. Richmond, it was reported, had declined toi accept a renewal ofher lease of Section, 22, Block VII, Managhoa, 69 acres, on the terms offered by the board. —Held over for a month. Mrs Agnes J. Biggar applied for a permit to occupy Sections 5G to 62 ancl 73, Makuri Township, area 3 acres 3 roods 38 poles, fro-n year 'to year, at a rental of £5 10s per annum, subject to .usual conditions. —It was resolved to offer the section for jjtjfolic competition. * Messrs Maunsell and Ha.t applied oil behalf of Messrs Sayers and Saywell for 12 months' extension of their license to cut and remote timber from Crown land in BJock 11, Waiohine s.l>. —Approved^," Messrs Warren Bros., who hold a lease of Pahiatua No. 2 Block from the former Native owners, applied to be allowed to acquire a portion of the block, about 25 acres, between its southern boundary and the fence they have erected, to obtain a good fence line, and it was resolved to! approve at such a price as may be fixed by the Conmissioner, and subject to the applicants paying cost of survey. Also that their application to acquire the liver flat .between main road and Makakahi Eiver be not entertained.
