SHOW STOCK SALE. RECORD FOR WAIRARAPA. Messrs Dalgetv and Co., Ltd., Masterton, report having held a special sale of fat stock on the: Carterton showgrounds yesterday, when large entries of fat lambs, ewes, wethers and bullocks wero submitted to a good attendance of buyers. All the freezing companies operating in the Wairarapa and "CITe local butchers were well represented. A nice pen of five Southdown lambs, entered in the freezing class, and, exhibited by W. Howard Booth, Esq., and offered on his account, realised the splendid price of 80s per head being the top price for the sale and a record for the Wairarapa. This pen was purchased by Mr Jas. McKenzie, representing the Waingawa Freezing Co. A fat lamb presented to the Wairarapa and East Coast P. and A. Society by Messrs H. C. Morrison, after being purchased and resold several times by the following, W. Howard Booth, A. Dash, Gear Co., Waingawa Co., and Wellington Meat Export Co., realised £8 14s 6d. The following is a list of the other fat stock sold; On ac. Colin Campbell, fat ewes 19s to 20s; on ac. A. E. Booth, fat wethers 21s; on ac. H. and C. Morrison,, fat lambs 25s 6d; on ac. Wiggins Bros., fat lambs 24s 6d; on ac. H. Catt, fat lambs 19s 3d to 225; on ac J. Monaghan, fat lambs 16s; on ac. W. Howard Booth, 2nd prize fat bullock £ls 10s. The New'' Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: — Hie usual sale of fat stock in connection with the Carterton show took place on the grounds yesterday morning. The representatives oi the vai ious freezing companies were in attendance, and operated freely, with the result that record prices for the Wairarapa, if not for the Dominion, were realised, one -pen of fat lambs reaching £4. Our principal sales were 3 fat ewes on account of Mr Oolin Campbell £1 10s, to Gear Meat Co.; three fat ewes on account same owner £1 Bs, to Wellington Meat Export Co.; three ewe hoggets on account sa-jie Owner £1 16s, to Gear Meat Co.; five fat lambs, on account Mr W. H. Booth, £2 8s to Wellington Frozen Meat Company; five fat lambs on account Mr H. Morrison £1 16s, to' Wellington Meat Export Co.; five fat lambs on account Mr H. Catt 16s, to Gear Meat Co.; one fat ewe on account Mr 0. Matson £1 15s, to Wellington Meat Export Co.; 1 fat ewe on account Mr C. Matson, £l, to Wellington Meat Export Co.; one fat wether on account same owner £1 8s 6d, to Wellington Meat Export Co.
