HEAVY STORMS.
MUCH DAMAGE DONE
TWO MEN KILLED,
(Received Oct. 30, 9.40 a.m.) SYDNEY. Oct. 30. A heavy rain and wind storm occurred at Ulmarra. Many trees were uprooted. A man standing near a tree which was struck by lightning was knocked down and temporarily paralysed on one side. A motor launch conveying a large quantity otf stock for store sank. Two occupants hr.d a straggle to reach the bank. The heavy hail at Wagga damaged orchards and crops. The mail coach from Kyogle to Casino was turned over by the gale. There were no passengers on IxJard. A man known as Henry Standard, thirty-two years of age, a farmhand, was killed by lightning while sitting on a low branch of a tree. At the inquest, Evidence was given that he was an immigrant whose real name was James Cooper. A YOUTH KILLED. (Received Oct. SO, 9.40 a.m.) BRISBANE, Oct. 30. During a storm at Boompa, Reginald . Bates, a youth, was killed by lightning.
