LAND IN RHODESIA.
CONSTRUCTION OF RAILWAYS:

The Evening News states that the South Chartered Company has evolved a great ranching scheme for utilising inalienated land in Rhodesia. The scheme includes the construction of branch., lines to tap the Cape to Cairo railway,,and enable: meat to be landed in Europe seven days quicker than from the Argentine. Mr Walsh, a skilled Texan cattle rancher; has been engaged as manager. IJir Leander Jameson SJiso gives large first concessions , to Americans, who, it is believed, include Arof Chicago. .. ■
