Yet that was the experience of a Glen Innes carpenter, Mr Charles Slee, of Church-street. There were periods when the complaint was not so bad, but a damp change in the weather always brought it on again. This represents six years of strenuous endeavour to rid himself of the complaint. I could not walk smartly owing to the affected hip, and I would drag the right leg considerably. Altogether my life was made quite wretched. I went on suffering for nearly six years. I took six pills each day and after a while I could distinctly feel the pain slowly getting less severe. I continued the treatment until tRe pain and' stiffness ceased.
