NEW SOUTH WALES MEETING. Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) SYDNEY, Oct. 18. .Stall Edwards, Melbourne, won the j champion gold medal at the New South Wales Association's meeting. The King's Prize remains in abeyance, pending ,the decision of the Council of the Rifle Association, McAlister, with ons shot, exceeded the tbae limit by fifteen seconds, and a protest was made to the range officer, who disallowed the shot. Edwards showed fine sportsmanship, and volunteered to shoot off. In the meantime McAlister appealed against the" disallowance osf the shot. The executive met and disallowed the shot, but decided to allow a shoot-off, without delay, as the ,men lived so far apart, in the event of the Council deciding in McAlister's favour.
