TO-DAY'S WEATHER.
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D O. Bates, of , the Meteorological office, last evening wired as follows : The barometer has fallen very low in the south, and a storm area has overspread the Dominion. High temperatures are reported on the East Ooast, and miuch rain and fog on the west. North-westerly winds preyail, with gales in many places. Present indications are for cloudy and boisterous wfeather, rain generally, and/ snow follolwing on high levels. Northwesterly gales, changing to' southwesterly. The barometer has still a falling tendency, but is likely to rise within forty-eight hours, and a cold snap may be expected shortly.
