MR LLOYD GEORGE'S SPEECH.
A CATCH-VOTE POLICY
(Received Oct. 15, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 14. • Lord Hugh Cecil (Unionist M.PO, speaking at Ormskirk said that Mr Lloyd George (Chancellor of the Exchequer) had neglected to apply the true principles of economics to his theories, which had only been jadvanced to catch votes. The Unionists were prepared to deal with the land problem in a more practical way.
SINGLE TAXERS' CONFERENCE. (Received Oct. 15, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 14. At a Single Taxers' 'Conference at Cardiff, Mrs Wedgwood threw the conference into confusion by attacking Mr Lloyd George's land policy and the Liberal Party's "Cat and Mouse" Act. Mr J. C. Wedgwood, Liberal M.P. for Newcasde-under-Lyme, added that many would agree that the Chancellor's speech had outlined no practical, definite programn e.
