T>DBLIO NOTICE IS HEREBY I QXVEN THAT at a Special Meeting of the Masterton Borough Council, held on Tuesday, fceptembei 23rd, 1913, it was resolved as tollows: WHEREAS the sum of Iwo thousand Pounds (£2000), borrowed by the Masterton Borough Corporation for the purpose of widening Banms-ter-street, was due and payable on the 28th day of August, 1913. AND WHEREAS the Sinking Funds in respect of the said loan amount to only Three hundred and Twenty-two pounds- six shillings and threepence {£322 8s .3d) and the sum. of one Thousand six hundred and seventy-seven pounds thirteen shillings and ninepeiftce (£1677 13s 9d) is required to pay off the said loan NOW THEREFORE, the Borough Council in exercise of the i bowere vested in it in that behalf by ! "The Local Bodies Loans Act. 1908 hereby resolves by way of Special Order— FIRST.—To borrow sum of One thousand six'hundrea and seven-ty-seven pounds thirteen shillings and ninepence> (£1677 13s 9d) for the purpose of' paying off the said loan. SECOND.—That the said sum of One thousand six hundred and seven-ty-seven pounds thirteen , shillings and ninepence (£1677 13s 9d). shall be repayable on the 28th day of August, 1923, or such other earlier date as may be determined by the Council. THIRD. —That for the purpose of providing for the payment of the said sum of One thousand six hundred and seventy-sevon pounds thirteen shillings and ninopeiioe (£1677 13s 9d), interest, sinking fund, and other charges thereon, the said Council will appropriate and pledge a Special Rate of ' Nine Sixty-fourths part of a penny in the pound (£> upon the Rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of, Masterton, comprising that part of the said Borough formerly included in a,nd known as the East and West Wards thereof, and more particularly described in the schedule hereto, and that such Special Rate shall be an annual recurring rate during' the currency of the loan, payable half yearly on the first day of February and first day of August in each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of Ten (10) years, or such shorter period as may be determined bv the Council, or until the Loan is fully paid off. FOURTH.—That the sum of Fiftyeight pounds four shillings and sixpence (£SB 4s 6d), being at the rate of per cent per annum, be provided as Sinking Funrl towards the repayment of the said sum of One thousand six hundred and seventyseven pounds thirteen shillings and ninepence (£1677 13s 9d.\ THE SCHEDULE.

All rateable property comprising that part of the Borough of Masterton included within the following boundaries: Bounded towards the north east by the right bank of the Waipoua River from the south.east boundary line to the Akura Block ,to the east side of Columba Road: towards the east by the eastern side of the said Columba Road to the Kuripimi Stream: thence towards the south and south east by' the said Kuripuni Stream to Railway Road: thenee towards the north-east generally by a line along the middle line of the said Railway Hoad to a point in a line with the Southern boundary line of Section 31. Masterton Small Farm Block: thence north west by Section 31 aforesaid to the Waipokaka Stream: thence by the Ngaumutawa Block, the Bishops Reserve and the Akura Block aforesaid to the right bank of the Waipoua River opposite section 63 Mastertou Small Farm Block, the starting point. The above Special Order will be confirmed at the Ordinary Meeting of thq Masterton, Boroueh Council to be held in the Council Chambers.
