The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their usual fortnightly sale held yes-/, terday: We offered a fair yarding of sheep and' a good entry of cattle to a good attendance. Hoggets dropped in price fully Is 6d. 'Although the demand was good at the lower values. We, have to report a total clearance in sheep. Dairy heifers in good condition right on the drop sold well but late calveiis or popr ooiiditioned sorts were hard to quit except ' at. low' prices .'> We quote: Small hoggets lis to 13s, medium hoggets 14s, 15s' to 15s 9d, shorn fat wethers 17s 9d, fat ewes in wooM9s 9»i, forward wethers in wool 20s, dairy Jbietfers, low condifionj £3 10s .to £4, "better sort* £4 17s 6d; £5 7s} Gd, to £6 los, store cows £3 10f, yearlings £1 18s i 6d to;£3 10s; ; .?
