Attempting to imitate the performances of M. Pegoud in looping the loop at Lincoln, an aviator named Beachey fell from a height of forty feet.
A girl spectator was killed on the spot, and her sister was fatally injured. Two naval lieutenants were badly hurt.
Beachey was practically unhurt The aeroplane was wrecked.
