Turnbull and Co., Ltd., repdrt having held their usual weekly sale in their Waipoua (Masterfton)i sale on Wednesday, October, when thqy offered a good yarding of sheep and cattle as advertised. There was a good .attendance of buyers. Although bidding was not as keen as at late sales, we report ; a good clearance fet the following rates : Ewes with lambs 19s 9d to 25s 6d, hoggets lis Bd to 12s sd, small hoggets lis 8d to. 12s sd, small hoggets 7s 6d to lOs &d, extra good hoggets 17s to 21s, for empty ewes 19s 6d; fat bullocks £lO ss, fat heifers £7 7a 6d, 3-year steers £6 14s, 2-year old steeis £4 15s, 18-cnonths steers £3 9s, 18months heifers £2 7s 6d, yearling steel's £2 3sT to '£2 lißs, yearling heifers 355, calves 21s, springing heifers £3 13s to £5, old dairy cov. £2 7s to £2 10s, good dairy oows, £ -;0k to £7 10s, empty oows £3 7s 6d, , „w.s in calf £3, IS-ihonths bulls £3 10,
SOLWAY STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: We held our usual weekly sale at Solway yesterday, when we had a good yarding of sheep and a fair on© of cattle, which wo .submitted 1 to the usual attendance of buyers. Competition was hardly so animated as at the previous sales, this no doubt being on account of the continued dry weather i nevertheless we made a good clearance though at slightly reduced rates. The following were the chief sales: 2-tooth wethers 19s 6d, good hoggets 14s to 14s 7d, small do. lis 4d, ewes with lambs at foot 14s to N 18s 3d, mixed steers £2 13s, backward cows £2 15s 6d.
Dalgety and 00., Mastertan, report having held their usual weekly sale at Sohvay on Wednesday, the Bth inst., when there was the usual atr ' tendance of buyers and only a fair entry of stock, whidh realised the following prices Mixed hoggets 15s, 2tooths 18s Id.
PAHIATUA STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Ltd. (Pahiatua), report on their Pahiataa sale, held on Tuesday, as under We- offered a. good yarding of sheep and a large yarding of cattle to a good attendance of buyers, and wo have to report on the day a good! clearance. Heifers, springing and on the drop were slightly easier, with the exception of ofne or two pens, anything forward and with good condition, selling well.' Ewe bogg&ts to 15s, mixed hoggets 14s lid, empty mixed, aged ewes 16s 3d, f.m. ewes and lambs 20s:9d to 22s 3d, empty 4-th ewes 17k, fat and forward ewes 18s 3d. Springing heifers £6 10 to £7 17s 6d, later sorts £5 10s to £5 17s 6d, backward sorts £4 to £5, yearling heifers 245, yearling steers £2 16s 6d, mixed weaners 265, conns and calves £3 2s 6d, dairy cows £3 15s to £6 10s, bulls £2 to £2 ss.
JOHN SON VILLE STOCK S ALE. JOHNSONVILLE, Last Night. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report mi their Johnsonville mIo held on October Bth, as follows: —A large yarding of cattle and sheep ccoao forward, prices being fully maintained. Prime heavy oxen made £l2 Os to £l2 17s 6d, lighter £ll 10s to £32 3s 6d, light £lO 10s to £lO 17s 6d. A few vealers realised from 25s 6d to 30s.
