TO-DAY'S WEATHER.
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. I WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological office, last evening wired as follows : A westerly storm area has spread over the Dominion, and cloudy and unsettled weather now prevails, with strong west to south-westerly winds. The barometer is low in the south, ' 2.30 inches pressure being reported at The Nuggets and Port Chalmers. Present indications are for boisterous weather, with high north-westerly and south-westerly winds. Rain is probable generally, and colder weather shortly. The barometer is unsteady, with a falling tendency, but is due kto rise everywhere in about 36 hours.
