LONDON, October 7
A British Committee is appealing 'to the public for £60,000, with which to cany out the British programme for celebrating the hundreth anniversary of Anglo-American peace. The programme includes the erection of a memorial in Westminster Abbey, the purchase of the ancestral home of General Washington, and the foundation of a chair of Anglo-American history, to be held in succession by eminent British and American historians.
