LATE SPORTING.
NOTES FROM RANDWICK. (Received Last Night, 10.15 o'clock.) SYDNEY, October 3, Andelosia wrenched a fetlock and will not start in the JDerby. It is stated that Cadonia, though sore, will start in the Spring Stakes. Gigandra is a strong favourite for the Epsom, followed by Alured and Cider.
It is stated that Merton Lad, who is trained at , Warwick Farm, has been backed to win £35,000 for the Epsom.
Beragoon is a hot favourite for the Derby* followed closely by Soltano. For the Metropolitan, Hallowmas and Emperador are the favourites, followed by Beragoon.
