TO-DAY'S WEATHER.
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Bev. D. 0. Bates, of the Meteorological office, last evening wired as follows: The barometer has been low in the south, and stormy in Foveaux Strait. Westerly winds have increased gener* ally, with showers on the West Coast of the South Island, and cloudy weather at times elsewhere. Present indications are for strong west to southwesterly winds in Cook Strait, cool and changeable weather, heavy showers on the West Coast and southern districts of the South Island, and scattered showers probably elsewhere. The barometer is likely to rise slowly everywhere soon.
