AND TRADE ROUTES. PRIME MINISTER STILL RETICENT (By 'ftkgraph — Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last NightReplying to a question by Sir Joseph Ward in the Bouse of Representatives this afternoon, the Prime Minister said that the Government was not in a position to say at what date it would bo able to lay before the House the Government's proposals regarding the naval defence of the Dominion and o'if trade routes. Correspond ence was still going on between the Government and the Imperial authorities, and he could not at present give the House any indication as to the Government's intention.
