Parisians, feeling that the frontier zone between Maubeuge and Verdun is weak owing to the large concentration of German forces at Treves, 48 miles north-north-east of Metz, a decree has been issued providing for five army colrps instead of four to bo in_ touch on the frontier in future, permitting of speedier mobilisation.
