Mrs and Miss Freda Kummer, of Mauriceville, have gone to Wellington for a week. Mrs & Bennett, of Lansdowne, has gone to Wellington to see off her sister (Mrs Reviers) who is sailing »in the lonic on Thursday. Mrs Hurley, <»f Hastings, is visiting friends in Masterton. Mr and Mrs W. Pilkington, of. Devonport, Auckland, are on a visit to Masterton.
Mrs R. W. Tate, of Greytown, is spending some weeks in Wellington.
The death is announced of another old colonist in the person of Mrs Caroline Parfitt, widow of the late John Parfitt, formerly, of the Pah Farm, Onehunga The deceased arrived in Auckland 58 years ago with her husband and son, and had resided in the Onehunga district until six years ago, when she went'to Ponsonhy to live. Sho was greatly esteemed by all who knew her. '
