AMUSEMENTS.
THE JULIUS KNIGHT. COMPANY. J. C. Williamson, Ltd., in our advertising columns to-day announce the completion of arrangements for the visit to Masterton of that most popular artist, Mr Julius Knight, to give one special performance at the Town Han on Wednesday evening next, when the new comedy "Milestones" will be presented for the fijrst time in Masterton. The new play is by Messrs Arnold Bennett and Edward Knoblauch and comes with a very brilliant reputation from England, America, and Australia, which has been fully endorsed by a number of the principal cities of the Dominion. It is described as a delightful story representing three generations of one family in 1860, 1885, and 1912, full of intense dramatic interest, delicate comedy, pathos, sentiment and humour. Mr Knight will be supported by an excellent cast of high-class artiste, which will include Miss Irene Browne, who was a member of the H. B. Irving Company, some new English artists and a number of well-known favourites of the colonies. The box plan will be opened at The Dresden on Saturday next.
