NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. 0. Bates, of the Meteorological offioe, last evening wired as follows: Moderate to strong westerly winds have prevailed, squally at times in slnd southward of Cook Strait., The weather has been changeable generally, with rain on the west coast and southernmost districts. The barometric pressure has decreased slightly. Present indications are for cool and changeable weather, with scattered showers. Moderate to strong southerly winds are probable, the barometer rising soon, but unsteady in the extreme south.
