THE ULSTER FUND. A sig:nificant conference. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) LONDON, Sept. 27. The* Ulster Fund has reached £500,000. Significance is attached in Unionist circles to Messrs Asquith and Lloyd George's conference with Mr P. H. lllingworth, the Chief Liberal Whip arid Parliamentary Secretary for Ireland, at tfie Isle of Man, and also to the Hon. James Bryce's interviews with the Liberal leaders at Belfast. TO MEET AT BALMORAL. Received This Morning, 12.40 o'clock. LONDON, Sept. 28. ' The !Right Hon. H. H. Asquith, Prime Minister, will meeii the King at Balmoral after the Arran visit. Unionist papers predict that ho will discuss with the King the-ques-tion of a comprise on the Home Rule Bill. The Manchester Guardian suggests that Sir James Bryoe is the ideal, man to carry out the delicate preliminary mediation work.
