THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTUREI. ] AN EXCELLENT j . Saturday night saw the popular TiP. Electric Theatre well filled by an appreciative audience. The star ; film, a 2000 Lubin expression play en* titled "The Toll of Fear," portrayed some exceptionally -fine and was a popular number. A Kalem drama .entitled the "Tyrant of the Family" proved to be a series of domestio eruptions, in which Miss Alice Joyce and Mr Carlyle Blackwell figured prominently. "The Wartime Siren" was,another fine Kalem production which gave an incident in the American Wars of independence, stirring battle scenes occurring between the Federals and Unionists. A prettv love story was interwoven in the plot. The Lubin Company presented two fine dramas in "Pete Tries the Stage" (which showed a man's failure to become an actor), and "The Evil One" (which showed Indian witchcraft)). The scenic and industrial section was exceptionally good, and included "Views of Sydney, NewSouth Wales." "The Golden East," "The Turtle Industry in Florida" (a fine educational film), "Steirmark," and "How New York Treats the Deaf, Dumb and Blind" (a fine illustration of ardaous teaching). Miss Pearl White appeared to advantage in an excellent comedy entitled "A Baffled Marriage." Other subjects were "Bill Bumpei's-Bjoy," and "Pimple as Detective." series will be repeated this evening.
