WONDERFUL FLYING FEATS.
M. PEGOUD'S DEMONSTRATION
! (Received Last Night, 10.5 o'clock.) LONDON, Sept. 26. The aviator M. Pegoud showed marvellous skill and coolness. He soared into a strong wind, and cut of the engine, dived vertically and then without an effort, the monoplane rolled on its back an| descended in a long spiral and gradually right. The second flight was made wit)l the machine" upside down for thirty secontls. It turned over suddenly and darted upwards. Tha engine stopped and then, as it became vertical, re-started and completely somersaulted in a very small radius. , In the third flight the engine was almost vertical, and remained motionless for a f«w seconds,; and then slid backward and downwards. ' Next, with' a quick movement of the controls, it dived nose downwards and tie* rigHed itself. ' <
