HARRIER CLUB.

ANOTHER ENJOYABLE OUTING. The members of the Masterton Harrier Club were the guests of Mr and Mrs W. McKenzie, of Manaia, yesterday afternoon. A sealed handicap was held over a two and a half mile course, starting and finishing at Mr McKeazie's residence, and embracing part of the championship course. Mr W. S. L. Dickson acted as handicapper andi was very successful. The laying of the trail was entrusted to Mr J. Bradbury. The race was well contested, the first three home being D. Mackersey, J. Miller and C. La Roche in that order. After allowing the handicaps, the result was as follows: D. S. Livingstone (handicap Siain) 13min 58sec Ist, C. La Roche (30sec) 14min 9sec 2nd, D. Mackersey (20sea) 14min 22 sec 3rd, J. Miller (25sec) 14min 23 sec 4th. W. Morris and D. Welch Avere close up, and showed good promise for novice runners. After the run the harriers were entertained by Mrs McKenzie, who proved herself an ideal hostess. Messrs Mackersey and Bradbury thanked Mr and Mrs "McKenzie for their hospitality, and: Mr McKenzie, in replying, stated that it gave him great pleasure to encourage in any way such a clean and healthy pastime, and extended a hearty invitation to the club to renew the visit next season. Cheers for Mr and Mrs McKenzie and family brought an enjoyable outing to a close.
