BRITAIN'S NAVY.
VISIT TO. MEDITERRANEAN. (KSfceived Laet Night, 7 o'clock.) .LONDON, Sept. 23. The Admiralty announces that it will send a detachment of the First Fleet, consisting of four battleships of the First Battle Squadron, the Third Cruiser Squadron, the Fii'st Light Cruiser Squadron, and the Third Flotilla, ViceAdmiral Colville, to cruise in ttya Mediterranean early in November, returning at Christmas. The Fourth Battle Squadron will join the detachment at Gibraltar, and after manoeuvring the combined fleet wiil proceed on a cruise as far as Alexandria, visiting various points on the way. Afterwards the Third Flotilla of sixteen modern destroyers will remain in the Mediterranean, the destroyers now there returninng Home.
