Our Own Correspondent. The weather of the past week has been a chip of real summer—clear, sunny days, and warm nights. As the spring crops are all sown, a warm soaking rain would do a. vast amount of good to pastures as well as the crops. The friends of Mrs W. Jesson will be pleased to hear that she is now improving in health. Lambing is practically over now, and docking is being carried out. Returns prove that a good lambing has been the general order of things. The ordinary monthly meeting of the Foresters' Lodge wag held in the lodge rooms on Saturday night. . The milk supply at the local butter factory, is rising rapidly. Cows are coming in on all sides, and indications point to a big siipply of butter-fat. • The roads in this vicinity are un* dergoing a general overhaul. - The, local roadman has this important work well in hand, and in future these roads should prove inviting to motorists an'd others. Gardening is occupying the attention of paterfamilias just now. Some nice sized plots' of potatoes have been set, and in addition, a, large quantity of smaller seeds have been, planted to provide a very necessary article in. all households.
