TO-DAY'S WEATHER.
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Rev. D. O. Bates, of the Meteorological office, last evening wired as follows: — Bain fell in the southern districts, and also in various parts of the North Island last night; but fair to cloudy weather has-prevailed to-day, with variable breezes, and a high ban* meter. Present indications are for variable breezes, with moderate to severe northerly winds predominating northward' of East Cape to, southeasterly elsewhere. Unsettled conditions are probable at times in the East Coast districts, and also in the extreme north arid south; but fair to cldudy weather generally. The barometer has a falling tendency in the northern districts, but is likely to rise further for a short time in the south.
