The Japanese Ambassador (Viscount Chindi) is wearying of repeated attempts to see Mi'. W. J. Bryan (United States Secretary of State), who has curtailed calls for the purpose of keeping his lecturing engagements.

- Viscount Chindi interviewed President Wilson, and urged the necessity for the abandonment of America's dilatory disregard of Japan's representations regarding Californian • land laws situation.

Mr Wilson professes to be optimistic concerning the solution of the problem.
