IHURAUA NOTES.

(Occasional Correspondent.) The Ihuraua Morris Tube Club held a wind-up social and dance in the Ihuraua hall on the evening of the 16th inst. It was a decided success, there being between eighty and ninety people present, and dancing was kept going well into the small hours of the morning. There were fourteen trophies in all presented, including ten ordinary, and four special. ; The tro> phy list is as followsJi H.Macdonald won. P; S. Macdonald's highest aggregate trophy, octily dropping two points', with a score of 173 out otf a possible of 175'; A.Mygind won H. E. Greathead's No. 1 trophy and R. Wood won H. E. Greathead's No. 2 trophy, with 168 points each; P., S. Macdonald, with 166, E. S> Matson's trophy; G. H. Ford Avon A. Hender-. son's, with 165 points,; 0. Larsen won C. Oliver's, with 165 points; A. Macdolnard won G. Kutherfurd's, with 165 points; J. Candy and A. Matson, with 164 points each, won respectively F. W. Woods' and King and Henry's ; G. Dagg won R. O. F. Dagg's, with 163 points. The special trophies were as follow:—A. H. Ahren's won by E. S. Matson, conditions 7 shots in a minute, with 31 points; L. Heckler's, i won by J. H. Macdonald, conditions, l a bright light shining in the competitors' eyes, 383 points ; J. H. Macdonald's, won by E. H. Dagg, o seconds a shot, with 30- paints ; E. H. Daggs, won by A, Macdonald, also 5 seconds a shot, 33 points. Mr L. Heckler, vice-president, presented the trophies!. Before making the -presentation, Mr Heckler made a very neat speech, dwelling on the position of the dub. He thanked all donors for trophies so Jieartily given. Visitors journeyed from Master ton, Mauriceville, Manganiahoe, and Alfredton. The M.O's. were Messrs P. S. Macdonald and R. Wood, who were untiring, in their efforts to make things go.
