NEW YORK SENSATION.
A CUNNINC CRIMINAL. AN A"CCOMPLICE ARRESTED. (Received Last Night, 10.50 o'clock.) NEW YORE, Sept. 17. The discovery of a counterfeiting den, operated by Schmidt and othercriminals, indicates that Schmidt, who was a reverend, and ivho has been arrested on a charge of murdering a woman named Anna Aumaller, was ono of the most cunning of modern criminals. The detectives believe s that his insanity in Germany was feigned. Dr Ernest Mural, a dentist, has been arrested in< connection with the counterfeiting. It is believed that he was"ScKmidt's -accomplice, in some of his criminality at anyrate.
