AMUSEMENTS.
THOMPiON-PAYNE PICTURES. AN EXCELLENT CHANGE. To-night picture patrons will be presented with a new bill-of-fare at the T.P. Electric Theatre, where pride of place will bo given to "The Tramp Reporter," a star turn by the Powers Company, and 2200 feet in length. Another fine drama is "By the Aid of Wireless," the latest Lux success. The Lubin Company will be represented in two dramatic items in "The Burden" and "The Moonshiner!? Wife," both of which are excellent features, the former being a domestic drama and the latter a Western story. Still another dramatic- feature will be given in the Kalem's latest success entitled "The Eighth Notch." The seven notches on the handle of Ed. Criegg's gun, one for each Danver, present a grim sEory. For years the Griggs and Danvers have been engaged in a deadly feud. One morning, as Bill Danver is hitching " his hoinse to the plough, the animal runs away, and Danver, who is dragged over the ground, suffers a broken leg. The horse return's to the stable, and Mrs Danver, full of apprehension, goes in search of her husband. Griggs' little son, playing with.a jack knife, cuts the eighth notch on the gun handle. When Mrs Danver comes to the Grigg cabin, with rifle in hand, she sees the newly, cut notch, and surmises' that her husband has been added to the list of Grigg's victims. Danver makes his way painfully over the field, and is picked up by a farmer. Grigg, despite his protests of innocence, is arrested and is about to be dealt "with severely, when the injured man reaches the scene, and explanar tions.follbwV The black looks of the two enemies : soften when they discover that their innocent children are playmates. . An excellent' array of scenics include "Running Waters of New Zealand," "Lubeck," "Valley of Magua," and "Kimbell Falls.'" The latest events and fashions will be given in the Eclair Journal. Several fine comedies complete a most interesting programme, the best of which are "Alia Fair in Love," "Ferdie, be Brave," "Prima Donna's Dupes," and "Billy's Insomnia," which features "Billy Quirk."
