' LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
{By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 THIRD READINGS. The Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Companies Act Aniendment Bill was read a third time and passed. ■ ■ The Dunedin District Drainage and Sewerage Act Amendment Bill passed through committee and was reported without amendment, but was afterwards recommitted to consider an amendment to clause 6, moved by the Hon. J. E. Jenkinson, which aimed at preventing the board -investing sinking funds in the purchase of debentures issued by the board,- whe: ther in connection wdth a loan, in respect of which' such moneys are held by'the commissioners or. not. ; The amendment was carried on the* casting vote of the chairman. The Bill was again reported and read a 'timid tuag* v il§§ond READINGS. The Mornington Tramways Act Amendment Bill, Land Transfer Amendment Bill, and Land Drainage Amendment Bill were read a second time. The Public Trust Office Amendment Bill was referred to the Statutes Revision" Committee. The Council adjourned at 3.55 p.m.
