MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB.

ANNUAL SMOKE CONCERT. The annual smoke concert of the Masterton Minature Rifle Club was held in the Druid's Hall last evening, and proved a highly successful and enjoyable .function. Mr O. N. 0. Pragnell, President, presided, and there were present some sixty members of the club and their friends. A lengthy toast list was honoured, and during an interval in the proceedings tfye trophies won during the season were preseted to the successful competitors by the chairman. The following received prizes:—Club Championship No 1 and No 2 matches, E. J. Perry; No 3 Match R. J. Smith; No 4 match, J. Murray. B Class, Championship No 1 and No 2 matches, L. Hill; No 3 match, J. McHattie; No 4 match, L. Picton. Aggregates: A CLASS, R. J. Smith, H. Perry, H. R. King; top score in married v. single match, W. Hornblow;. most possibles during the season, F. Minton; B. Class, Aggregate and No 1 match, H. B. Liddle. Songs and recitations were rendered during the evening by Messrs A. L. Tressider, G. Nuttall, Maxted, B. Ensor, W. Iggulden, W." Dixon, A. Spratt, P. Gully and W. Hornblow. The gathering was highly successful from all points of view, and the enthusiasm displayed augurs well for the future prosperity of the club.
