ON GERMAN STEAMER. (Received Last Night, 10 o'clock.) ADELAIDE. Sept. 11. Bresler, tho boatswain of a German steamer, who was arrested on a charge of fatally [stabbing another seaman named Reichter during a drunken brawl, states that during tl\e row he remonstrated with another man, who struck him with a bottle, and it was this man, and not be (Bresler.) who stabbed Reichter. When he entered the forecastle subsequently a fii'oman named Schiebat staggered: out of the forecastle with a self-inflicted wound in the throat. The statement that Bresler was responsible for the stabbing was not correct.
